1. Why did you decide to start this business? What is the why behind it?
I have always enjoyed owning my own businesses and saw a need for indoor auto storage from my car racing experiences. Many times at car shows I’ve been told how hard it is to find a place to safely store vehicles so I decided to fill that need in Castle Rock. The why behind this business model is simply to provide indoor, climate-controlled auto storage so people can enjoy their hobbies and toys and free up their garage space. We offer a selection of parking spaces for different types of vehicles and toys – including hobby, race, and collector cars as well as ATVs, snow mobiles and Razors. Our building features over 24,000 square feet of secure indoor auto storage.
2. If you could tell the readers the 3 things you would like them to know about you?
We have lived in Castle Rock for over 15 years and have raised all our children here. I love the outdoors – hiking, fishing, camping and 4x4-ing. I’m definitely a car guy - I like all things cars from collecting, hot-rodding, refurbishing, car shows to racing. I enjoy talking cars with anyone – whether it’s a conversation about modern cars, hot-rods, muscle cars, classics, antiques or luxury.
3. Do you have a motto, quote, things you live by? Can you share.
Family is the most important aspect in my life. My wife and I have raised our kids to put family first in all things. We get together with our kids a several times during the year even though we are spread out across 4 different states. We also get together with our extended family of 25 at least once a year. Having that solid family commitment has continued to strengthen our family.
4. Tell us about your family and why you live in Castle Rock.
My wife and I have 5 children – our youngest daughter is a Senior at Colorado State University, our youngest son is a 2nd Lieutenant in the Air Force, our middle son is a Real Estate Developer in North Carolina, our oldest daughter is a Customer Account Manager living in Fort Collins with her husband who is a Commercial Project Manager, and our oldest son in an Engineer at Northrop Grumman in California. My wife is the Executive Assistant to the CEO at Castle Rock Adventist Hospital.
5. Do you have any awards, nonprofits you are a part of that you would like us to know?
Currently I am on the Castle Rock EDC board, as well as a member of the Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce and Castle Pines Chamber of Commerce.
6. What are you most excited about in 2021?
This year I am most excited about meeting new people in our community who have the same passion about the auto industry as I do through opening Castle Rock Auto Storage this summer! I am also excited about life turning back to normal and being able to travel again.
