Sonja Belfiore is a Greeley raised Realtor® whose primary goal is bringing you home. Sonja believes that our homes are “not just bricks and mortar.” Rather, “Our homes represent our dreams, our comfort, our gathering place.” This holiday season, Sonja is here to prepare your home for the holidays by bringing your home the joy, warmth, and care that your gathering place deserves.

“I love bringing my memories from being raised in Greeley to the family that we now have rooted here in order to create long lasting traditions,” Sonja explains. If you’re looking to sell this season, Sonja says, “Much of what I do in my own home, I suggest to clients when getting ready to list their homes.” From your entryway to your guest suites, Sonja shares numerous ways to enhance your home’s gathering spaces, creating the perfect ambiance to welcome the holiday spirit.

The Entryway. Sonja loves creating different themes each year to highlight her home’s entryway. From warm lights, greenery, layered welcome mats, sparkling decor, and lanterns, Sonja suggests choosing a theme and running with it throughout your home. Sonja chooses her themes based on the mood she hopes to set when her friends and family enter their home. What mood are you envisioning for your entryway this holiday season? Classy and Elegant? Bright and Cheery? Modern and Minimal? Sonja says, “Nothing says ‘welcome’ like an inviting front entry.” And if you’re putting your home on the market, “the same deal applies!”

The Kitchen. A tradition that Sonja continues in her home is the stovetop potpourri that simmers on her stove, courtesy of her friend’s mother. “This fills my house with smells that my kids and guests will remember.” Even better, “these fresh scents are not overbearing” and can create the perfect atmosphere when showing your home or hosting guests.

The Living Room. For the perfect gathering space during the holidays, Sonja says, “more is more!” She suggests envisioning how you would like your space to feel this season, then creating that feeling by incorporating fresh greenery, candles, cozy chairs around the fireplace, pillows and blankets, and a well decorated tree. “This creates a landing place for those early morning coffee cuddles or after dinner wine conversations.” Sonja hopes that these additions to your space this season will fill your home and heart full of meaningful conversations with family and friends.

Guest Suites. If you're hosting family or friends this season, be sure to put out fun, holiday bedding, pillows, and throw blankets. To make your guests feel right at home, “Provide your WiFi password, toiletries, hairdryer, robe and coffee pot.”

Sonja hopes that these tips will help bring you home to Greeley, bring you home to your family, bring you home to peace, joy, and warmth this holiday season and help to preserve Greeley’s tight knit community.
