Q: Tell us a little about your background and how you came to be a makeup artist.
Well I’m originally from Texas where I grew up in a large amazing family. Immediately after HS I joined the Army because I couldn’t decide if I really wanted to go to beauty school. Turns out as soon as I got deployed I knew that when my time was done in the Army I’d pursue a career in the beauty industry. After getting my Cosmetology license I attended a make up school to further my education and since then have been working doing hair and make up!
Q: Did you know you always wanted to get into this profession?
I think on some level I knew I always wanted to be in the beauty industry somehow but it wasn’t until I joined the Army that I realized I was certain it’s what I wanted to do as a career.
Q: What's your favorite type of look to create? (ie natural, bold, smokey eyes, etc.)
My favorite look to create is a gorgeous Smokey eye. I love being able to create an intense look it’s just so fun!
Q: How did you break into the celebrity world?
When I first moved to Nashville I started reaching out through IG via the good ol DMs and offered my services to clients I really wanted to work with. I had a few hits back a lot of people who didn’t write back, and one client who I still work with today who gave me a chance.
Q: Tell us three must-haves in your makeup arsenal?
Ohhh this is hard lol. Currently I’d have to say the Givenchy prism libre setting powder,
Elemis facial oil, and the Tower 28 cream blush in “magic hr”
Q: Can the average person mimic the looks you create?
Absolutely! In the future I’d love to come out with more tutorials so it’s easier for people to re create my looks or give them their own spin
Q: Do you have a favorite brand?
I don’t, I love so many different products from different brands that offer their own unique thing. It would be hard to have a favorite brand
Q: What do you do in your downtime when you're not working?
When I’m not working I love spending my free time with my son or friends just relaxing and taking it easy. Because work has been so busy lately it’s so nice to just have those lazy does with people I love
