Gold Standard: Empowering Excellence Everywhere

Meet Leah Amico, Gold medalist softball star-turned-public speaker and author

Softball sensation Leah Amico brings new meaning to the term “female empowerment.”

From taking home Olympic gold three times with the USA Softball Team and hailing as a 3-time National Champion at the University of Arizona, Leah was a force to be reckoned with on the field.

Leah was one of 15 women named to the 1996 Olympic softball team, winning the gold that year. She played with Team USA for a decade, winning gold in 2000 in Sydney and 2004 in Athens.

Since retiring from softball, Leah is now an accomplished author, public speaker, podcaster, and analyst for ESPN and Westwood One Radio.

“Moving forward through adversity and taking advantage of every opportunity helped me to reach the pinnacle in my sport. Now I speak to audiences of all ages and sizes about setting a standard of excellence. My new book, The Gold Standard: 14 Ways to Live a Life of Excellence, shares the steps I took to win gold and find success off the field after I retired. We all have opportunities to impact others every day and every person can be a leader right where they are if they will focus on how they approach each opportunity.”

Leah speaks to businesses, organizations, and schools at keynote events and assemblies.

“I speak about leadership principles, the value of teamwork, and how to live out a standard of excellence in every area of life. I love inspiring girls and women to know they can accomplish big goals without compromising what matters most to them.”
