Golf, Gather, Grow

Tee2Green brings golf, recreation and community together in one welcoming Jersey Shore destination for everyone.

For Michael Jacobs, Tee2Green was built around a straightforward idea: Create a place where golfers can work on every part of their game while enjoying time with friends, family and fellow golfers. Located in West Long Branch, the indoor golf facility brings technology, practice, recreation and community together under one roof.

Jacobs and his partners wanted to create a destination that went beyond simply hitting golf balls indoors. Their goal was to provide an environment where golfers could work on every aspect of their game, from the tee box to the green.

“My partners and I wanted a place where you could work on your complete game, thus the name Tee2Green,” Jacobs says.

West Long Branch felt like a natural fit. Jacobs was drawn to the area’s central location and established golf community, making it an ideal place to serve golfers throughout the Jersey Shore.

“I love the centralized location and the great golf community in this area,” he says.

While golf is at the heart of Tee2Green, Jacobs wanted the experience to feel approachable and fun rather than strictly focused on practice and performance. His vision was a place with something for everyone—whether visitors are serious golfers, beginners or simply looking to spend time together.

That philosophy is reflected in the facility’s range of offerings. Tee2Green features TrackMan bays for golf practice and play, along with the S.A.M. PuttLab, which provides detailed data to help golfers better understand their putting. The facility also includes a 1,800-square-foot chipping and putting area for players looking to sharpen their short game.

For those looking to upgrade their equipment, Tee2Green offers club fittings and carries major golf club brands. Golfers can also take advantage of club repair and regripping services. Beyond golf, visitors can enjoy table tennis, free video games and cornhole, giving groups additional ways to spend time together.

Jacobs has seen firsthand how technology can change the way golfers practice. Data from TrackMan and the S.A.M. PuttLab gives players measurable information about their performance and helps them identify areas for improvement.

“The numbers that TrackMan and the S.A.M. PuttLab give you make it easier to see your improvement,” Jacobs says. “In the offseason, and at night year-round, you can continue to work on your game.”

That accessibility is particularly important to Jacobs, who wants Tee2Green to welcome golfers of all ages and experience levels.

“We want to grow the game of golf, and everyone should be given the opportunity to learn golf,” Jacobs says. “Whatever your age or sex, we want everyone to feel comfortable when they come here.”

Tee2Green has also evolved into a gathering place beyond individual practice sessions. The facility hosts leagues, events and social experiences, with open bays, couches and recreational activities making it well suited for groups.

Community involvement is another part of the Tee2Green story. The business participates in the local chamber of commerce, collaborates with Jersey Shore First Tee and supports the LPGA Amateur League. Tee2Green also works with other local businesses and has developed a strong relationship with Monmouth University, serving as a practice facility for the university’s men’s and women’s golf teams.

“We are their practice facility! Fly Hawks!” Jacobs says.

For Jacobs, the most rewarding moments are not necessarily measured by scores or statistics. They come from watching golfers improve and seeing the enjoyment that follows.

“Seeing people improving their game and leaving here with a huge smile,” he says.

Looking ahead, Jacobs hopes Tee2Green continues to become a familiar gathering place for the community—somewhere people return not only because they want to improve their golf game, but because they enjoy being there.

“The spot where everyone comes and it feels like family,” Jacobs says.

Ultimately, that is the experience he hopes visitors take with them. Whether they are working on their swing, playing a round with friends or simply spending time together, Jacobs wants Tee2Green to feel welcoming.

“That they feel welcome, comfortable, that they feel like they’re amongst friends and family,” he says.
