Local Thanksgiving Family-Style Favorites Offered by local eateries for Thanksgiving

Too busy to tackle this year’s Thanksgiving meal prep? Several forward-thinking eateries have their patrons’ backs, each offering turnkey to-go meals that are sure to make everyone at the dinner table give thanks.

EAT by Stacey Webber has a customizable to-go meal for four with traditional-but-enhanced staples. When placing the order, guests start with a citrus and herb-smoked turkey and build from there, choosing from several appetizers, salads, and sides including baked brie with pistachios, dried fruit, and multi-grain crackers; mashed Yukon gold potatoes; traditional rustic bread stuffing; shaved kale salad with delicata squash; whipped sweet potatoes with butter; brown sugar roasted carrots; spiced cranberry-orange sauce; gravy; and more. Z’Tejas Southwest Grill is also offering a family-style Thanksgiving meal to-go, which requires guests to pre-order by Nov. 22. The base package, available for $125, feeds six-to-eight guests and includes pineapple and chipotle roasted turkey served sliced and deboned with both light and dark meat, as well as cheesy poblano mashed potatoes, cornbread stuffing, seasonal vegetables, chipotle roasted turkey gravy, and cranberry sauce. Seeking a heaping of sides? Then be sure to check out the eye-popping spread being offered by ZuZu at Hotel Valley Ho. Its whole-turkey package, available for $349 uncooked or $399 fully cooked, serves eight to 10 guests and stars a Mary’s organic, non-GMO, free-range turkey. It also comes with whipped potatoes, giblet gravy, sweet potato casserole, stuffing, butternut squash soup, roasted Brussels sprouts, baby carrots, cranberry chutney, and buns. Hearth ’61 at Mountain Shadows’ to-go-offering is priced per person. For $52 per adult or $29 per child, it features naturally raised, local turkey from Two Wash Ranch in New River, along with chorizo cornbread stuffing, mashed potatoes, country gravy, orange cranberry relish, buttered green beans, and parker house rolls. There are also some outside-of-the-box offerings available, notably, The Gladly has bottled cocktails to-go and enough Original Chopped Salad to feed 12, and Ling & Louie’s Asian Bar and Grill have a bevy of Asian-inspired a la carte Thanksgiving sides that feed up to 10m including Szechwan green beans, Korean cauliflower, hot Brussels sprouts, and wasabi mashed potatoes.
