There are certain seasons in life that invite us to slow down and take stock. To look around at the people beside us, the places we have been, and the moments that have quietly become part of our story.
This season, I find myself especially grateful.
Personally, I am grateful for my family and for the gift of experiencing the world together. Some of my favorite memories have not come from elaborate plans, but from the simple moments in between a shared meal, a walk outdoors, my children discovering something for the first time, or standing somewhere beautiful and realizing that everyone is simply present.
“The greatest luxury is not simply where we travel, but who we become through the experience.”
That idea has also shaped the way I approach my work as a travel advisor. I am deeply grateful for the clients who invite me into some of the most meaningful chapters of their lives. Anniversaries. Milestone birthdays. Family reunions. Long-awaited adventures. Sometimes, simply the desire to reconnect with one another.
Travel is personal. The best journeys are not necessarily the ones with the longest itineraries or the most destinations. They are the ones that give us something to remember long after we return home.
And looking ahead, there are two journeys I am particularly excited to share.
SPRING | JAPAN BY SEA
Japan in spring has an almost dreamlike quality. Cherry blossoms transform cities, gardens and landscapes, while centuries-old traditions continue alongside an unmistakably modern culture.
In May of 2027, I will be hosting a special sailing trip through Japan. An opportunity to experience the country from both land and sea. There will be time to explore historic places, discover local culture and cuisine, and simply absorb the beauty of the season, all while enjoying the ease of unpacking just once.
For me, this is the essence of meaningful travel: experiencing a destination rather than simply passing through it.
SUMMER | ALASKA, TOGETHER
Then comes summer, and the journey heads north.
I am especially excited to host a family sailing to Alaska in July of 2027. Alaska is a destination that feels almost cinematic yet is wonderfully accessible for families. Towering mountains, calving glaciers, pristine forests, and abundant wildlife create an extraordinary setting for adventure and discovery.
But perhaps the most compelling part is experiencing it together.
There is something unforgettable about watching a child see a glacier for the first time, spotting wildlife from the deck, or standing quietly as an immense landscape unfolds before you.
“Travel has a way of turning moments into memories and memories into stories we carry with us.”
As I look toward the seasons ahead, I am reminded that gratitude and travel have something important in common: both ask us to pay attention.
To notice where we are. To appreciate who is beside us. And to remain curious about what lies beyond the horizon.
That is the kind of travel I want to continue creating and the kind of journey I hope to share with you.
“The greatest luxury is not simply where we travel, but who we become and the memories we create together.”
“Travel turns moments into memories we carry.”
