"I'm personally grateful to go to work every day to help customers stay safer, have peace of mind and remain independent in their own homes," says Frank Watz, consumer finance manager for New Bath Today in Carmel and SageHome corporate.

Due to NBT's focus on making bath spaces safer, he says the company's specialists provide stylish yet functional home modifications, especially for those who want to age-in-place.

"We saw coming out of COVID, how many Baby Boomers had analyzed everything and truly wanted to stay in their homes, with many of them being older houses with tub and shower combos. Just having to lift legs to get into showers can present risks for everyone," Watz says.

NBT design consultants can aid with the full spectrum of bathroom facets or larger renovations: shower replacements; tub to showers; bathtubs; walk-in tubs installations; as well as one-day bath remodel projects. Their options also cover grab bars, in-shower seating and shower caddies.

"We're a Kohler dealer for shower systems, so with us, you’re not just getting a safer bathroom, you’re getting premium bathing solutions that are accessible, modern, elegant and built to last. And ones with a lifetime warranty," adds Watz.

Helping Military Veterans Get Benefits They Earned

At NBT, Watz says they believe military veterans deserve not just gratitude, but support that truly makes a difference. "We understand navigating the Veteran Affairs system can be challenging, so we developed a department just to assist in this area. Our expert team is here to make it easier for veterans. And it’s more than just bathroom remodeling; it’s about helping veterans live comfortably and safely."

The HISA (Home Improvements and Structural Alterations) grant offers up to $6,800 to help veterans with disabilities modify their homes for better accessibility and mobility. Watz says their team members guide veterans through the walk-in shower HISA grant process every step of the way.

"With more than 100 successful HISA grant applications in just the last 90 days, our team understands the details. From eligibility questions to tackling VA paperwork, we’re here for our military heroes," Watz states.

Shared Values

In the last five years, from the corporate headquarters in Indianapolis, Watz says he's championed the caring and compassionate aspects of the services that NBT delivers. In that regard, they've handed out to each other awareness cause bracelets etched with the words Caring and Compassion.

"We're optimistic about the reduced number of ambulance calls required due to the updates and enhancements we provide to customers. And I enjoy celebrating those successes with sales colleagues, ensuring that their good work gets recognized," he says.

Giving Back Through Community Support

Watz says they strive to foster meaningful community involvement and support nonprofit organizations that uplift those in need. "We volunteer, do fundraising, conduct food drives and adopt families for Christmas gifts, for example."

One of the key organizations that NBT partners with is Meals on Wheels, a vital service that delivers meals to individuals who are unable to prepare food for themselves. NBT contributed $1,500 to the Bingo Bash fundraiser, an event designed to raise funds for meal deliveries. The funds from this event directly support local families who rely on these nutritious meals, helping them maintain their independence and health.

Another impactful partnership that makes NBT staff proud is being a part of Showers of Hope, a nonprofit dedicated to providing essential hygiene services to those in need. NBT donated 200 backpacks filled with shampoo, soap, razors, combs, deodorant, shaving cream, toothpaste and toothbrushes. Showers of Hope also operates mobile shower units that travel to underserved areas.

For those seeking more spa-like experiences within their bathrooms, complimentary quotes and free 3D mockup designs can be requested from New Bath Today consultants.
