A Century of Care in Motion

Weld County Garage Continues to Serve Greeley with Integrity, Heart, and a Spirit of Gratitude

In Greeley, where tradition and connection matter, Weld County Garage has been part of the story for more than a century. Since 1908, the dealership has built trust, invested in people, and given back to Greeley. Under the leadership of the Yoder family since 1987, that focus remains clear: serving customers and the community with care that lasts beyond the sale.

Giving Back to Greeley

Each December, Weld County Garage hosts its “Fill Santa’s GMC” drive for Toys for Tots, gathering gifts for children across Weld County.

That same philosophy guides Yoder Family Cares, the charitable branch of the Yoder Family of Companies. What began with the idea of “loving our neighbors as ourselves” has grown into a support system for employees and their families—covering everything from emergency help with housing or childcare to activities that bring the team together. The program also extends into the community through service projects and partnerships, a reminder that the company’s reach goes well beyond the walls of the dealership.

Standing Behind Their Word

Recently, a buyer from several hours away purchased a vehicle sight unseen and later noticed a vibration at highway speeds. While a local shop couldn’t diagnose the issue, Weld County Garage took ownership. A staff member delivered a loaner car, brought the vehicle back to Greeley, and had technicians test it until they found the problem. The tires were replaced, the car detailed, and it was personally returned—five hours of driving just to make sure it was right.

The customer’s response said it all: “You’ve earned a customer for life.” For Weld County Garage, that kind of follow-through isn’t exceptional—it’s the standard.

As Ryan Green, Marketing Director for the Yoder Family of Companies, explains: “For us, it’s not just about selling vehicles—it’s about relationships, trust, and building a company that will continue to serve Greeley for the next 100 years.”

A Legacy That Lasts

Weld County Garage is one of the few remaining family-owned dealerships in Northern Colorado. Only three families have held ownership since its founding, with the Yoders now into their third generation of leadership.

The dealership’s core values—respect, integrity, togetherness, fun, and the Golden Rule—have shaped how employees are treated and how customers are served. The result is a culture that feels both local and lasting.

Building Futures for Employees

Inside the dealership, the focus on people is just as strong. Weld County Garage has built a workplace where employees can grow into long-term careers. Mentorship and training are part of everyday life, and many leaders began in entry-level positions before moving into management. The emphasis isn’t just on filling jobs, but on helping employees build futures.

That investment in people is also an investment in Greeley. When employees feel supported, they stay, grow, and contribute—not only to the company but also to the community around them.

Thankful for the Road Ahead

As the holiday season approaches, Weld County Garage reflects a spirit of gratitude. Whether through the joy of a child opening a donated gift, the relief of an employee receiving support in a difficult time, or the loyalty of a customer who knows they can count on them, the dealership’s impact goes far beyond cars.

Weld County Garage continues to show what it means to put people first. In that, Greeley has much to be thankful for.
