At the heart of Wilson County, six remarkable women are shaping Lebanon’s future through leadership, resilience, and a deep commitment to their community– thriving in every season. From business consultants to entrepreneurs and industry trailblazers, these women have built legacies rooted in service, faith, and empowerment. Their journeys, filled with wisdom, determination, and heart, remind us of the incredible impact strong women have when they uplift others. As they share their stories, lessons learned, and the advice they’d give their younger selves, we celebrate their contributions and the powerful roles they play in making Lebanon a thriving, connected, and inspiring place.
Katie Myers | Director of Marketing | Nashville Superspeedway
For Katie, legacy isn’t about titles or achievements—it’s about how she makes people feel. “I don’t want to be remembered for my job title. I want to be known for loving well and creating spaces for real, authentic connection,” she says.
A recent lesson changed her perspective: “The most important relationship I’ll ever have, aside from my relationship with God, is with myself.” She realized that how she treats herself teaches others how to treat her. “If I don’t respect myself, prioritize my well-being, and uphold my values, why would anyone else?”
Her biggest inspirations? Her mother and grandmother. “As a child, I didn’t realize how much my mom sacrificed for us. Now, as a busy adult, I see the grace and strength it took to balance it all.”
To her younger self, she’d say: “Enjoy where you are. Stop rushing to the next thing. Life isn’t about climbing ladders—it’s about the people you love and the moments you cherish.”
Her mornings start at 4:30 a.m. with red light therapy, prayer, a workout, and an audiobook—fueling her mind, body, and soul for the day.
As for seasons? “Fall used to be my favorite, but now I love Spring, Summer, and Fall. There’s something magical about each.”
Nicole Jones | Compass Leadership Solutions | Leadership and Business Consultant
For Nicole, legacy is about faith in action. She strives to make Lebanon a place where people feel supported, empowered, and inspired to serve. “I hope to leave a legacy of faith in action by helping others, building meaningful relationships, and contributing to the growth of our community,” she shares.
Her guiding principle? “Find ways to add value to people.” This piece of advice shaped her career and life, reminding her that the greatest impact comes from uplifting others.
Nicole credits her mother, grandmother, and aunt for instilling in her the power of service. “They gracefully served others with joy and never sought recognition for their efforts,” she says. If she could tell her younger self anything, it would be “Laugh more. I took life too seriously and missed out on the fun of the moment.”
Her success starts with daily prayer and meditation, setting her focus for the day. And when it comes to seasons? “Summer is my favorite—travel, volunteering, and, of course, more ice cream!”
Darlene Webb | CEO | Island Breeze Bistro
Darlene's dream was to bring the warmth of island culture to Lebanon—and she’s done just that. “I want Island Breeze Bistro to be remembered not just for great food, but for the spirit of community it brings.”
She believes in learning from every challenge: “Get all you can, and can all you get.” This mindset has helped her turn obstacles into stepping stones.
The two most influential women in her life? Her mother and daughter. “My mother taught me resilience and grace. My daughter inspires me with her compassion and strength.”
To her younger self, she’d say: “Trust your instincts, take risks, and believe in yourself. Everything will work out—just trust God and do your part.”
Her day begins with prayer, meditation, and journaling—habits that keep her centered and focused. And when it comes to seasons, she loves Spring. “It’s a season of renewal, growth, and fresh possibilities.”
Michelle Boykin | Chief Operating Officer | Rackley Roofing Company
Michelle is paving the way for women in male-dominated industries. Her goal? To inspire others to lead with faith, integrity, and purpose. “If I can encourage others to embrace their potential and make a difference, then I’ll know I’ve made an impact.”
The best advice she ever received? “Step outside your comfort zone.” Every major success in her life has come from doing just that.
Her mentors include Heidi Ellsworth, founder of National Women in Roofing, and her close friend Liz Garza. “Liz and I met as industry competitors, but we never let that get in the way of friendship. We support each other in life and in business.”
To her younger self, she’d say: “You don’t need all the right answers—just take the next right step.” She’s learned that success comes from the journey, not perfection.
Her mornings begin with Bible reading, often through The Bible Recap podcast. “Starting my day in Scripture gives me clarity and gratitude.”
Though she once loved Summer, Fall has her heart now. “Friday night football, community spirit, and watching my son grow into a leader—there’s nothing like it.”
Kaci Fisher | Financial Advisor | Northwestern Mutual
Kaci Fisher’s mission is personal—she hopes to provide support, peace of mind, and hope for the future to special needs families like her own.
She finds purpose in 1 Peter 4:10: “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another.” Her experience as a special needs mom drives her commitment and sense of urgency in helping others. Sometimes we have to walk through the hard times and then step out in faith to use them in the ways we’ve been called.
Her greatest inspiration is her mother. “She showed me perseverance, grace under pressure, and unwavering faith.”
To her younger self, she’d say: “Just be yourself. Don’t worry about what others think—shine bright.”
Her morning routine? Quiet time with God, journaling, and lots of coffee.
She loves Fall on their farm. “A crisp breeze, beautiful leaves, and a rocking chair on the porch—it doesn’t get better than that.”
Robyn Willis | Executive Director | Historic Lebanon Main Street
Robyn hopes to inspire others to follow their passions and build strong community connections. She believes, “When we support each other, amazing things happen.”
Her personal motto? “Be kind.” It’s simple yet life-changing—“Kindness can shift someone’s entire day—or even their life.”
Robyn’s biggest influences are her mom, adopted grandma Evelyn, daughter Lily, and close friends, who’ve taught her about resilience, love, and grace.
To her younger self, she’d say: “Do your best and forget the rest.” While we can’t control outcomes, we can control our effort and attitude.
Her mornings include hydration, stretching, walking her dogs, and a quiet moment with coffee to review the day’s plan.
Spring and Fall are her favorite seasons—“Spring brings fresh energy and blooming flowers, while Fall in Tennessee is simply magical.”
