Whether biking, walking or exploring with family, The HamCo Hubway offers 600-plus miles of trails and packaged experiences that blend wellness, leisure and local discovery.
This integrated trail system connects Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville and Westfield through four major paved paths, plus a network of easy-to-navigate connector routes. Within the system, the loop provides a connected 28.5-mile route formed from sections of four major trails: the Midland Trace (7 miles), Nickel Plate Trail (8.2 miles), The 106 (5.8 miles) and the Monon Trail (7.5 miles).
For family outings:
- The Monon Trail is a 40-minute bike ride nonstop, running north and south to Carmel and Westfield, including the Monon Greenway and the Carmel Arts & Design District.
- The Midland Trace Trail, also a 40-minute bike ride nonstop, runs east and west to Westfield and Noblesville, passing through several bridges and parks.
- The Nickel Plate Trail is a 46-minute bike ride nonstop, running north and south through downtown Fishers, granting views of the White River and access to dining and shopping.
- The 106 is a smooth asphalt connector linking the communities of Fishers and Carmel.
For adult excursions:
- On Monon Trail, pass through Central Park and stop for a picnic. Meet friends at Sun King Carmel or 3UP Rooftop Bar for handcrafted cocktails. Bober Tea & Mochi Dough offers a selection of boba tea and Japanese mochi donuts. Take a break at Penn & Beech Candle Company to pour a customized candle.
- On Midland Trail, go to the Westfield Farmers Market on Thursday evenings. Along Restaurant Row, grab coffee at Rivet Coffee Bar & Roastery, sushi at Chiba Indy, melting-pot classics at Nyla’s or a classic Italian meal at Italian House on Park.
- On Nickel Plate Trail, stop by the Fishers Art Center for exhibitions, events, camps or workshops. For sweet treats, visit Le Macaron French Pastries for signature macarons and classic French pastries. Sleep overnight at the Hotel Nickel Plate.
