Hang Tight!

Harness the excitement and fun of rock climbing and get the benefit of a full-body workout

Climbing strengthens your hands and forearms, biceps, shoulders, neck, traps, upper back, lats, lower back, abs, glutes, thighs and calves. Your entire body, including your cardiovascular system, benefits from rock climbing. Every week, hundreds of people visit Escalade Rock Climbing in Peachtree City - the only indoor rock climbing gym on the Southside of Atlanta. There's no reservation necessary and no equipment needed, as the gym has everything you need to climb. Visitors are welcome to use their own equipment, and beginners can be assured that the staff at Escalade has paved the way to create a less intimidating introduction to the sport.

Rope climbing is generally considered sport climbing, and bouldering is climbing without ropes in shorter sequences focused on harder movement - just you and the rock with no rope to help (or hinder). Escalade has both rope climbing and bouldering. General Manager Derek Jones understands, "It's totally normal to feel apprehensive and nervous, but just come on in and try it and you'll fall in love with it."

Weekends are a great time for walk-ins to visit Escalade, as well as those with less experience. The gym is staffed with guides who can work with anyone who comes in to climb. With their state-of-the-art belay systems, beginners can come in anytime during the week with a partner and go through a brief belay orientation and begin climbing within minutes. They also have auto-belay systems so you don't need a partner to climb.

Corporate events, group events and celebrations of all kinds take place at Escalade. They have a large party room where you can bring your own food and drink. It is best to plan ahead and call to make arrangements. Escalade is open every day of the week and is located at 125 Depot Court in Peachtree City. The friendly staff can be reached at 678-870-1400.
