Hard Working Family

The Piantanida family works together at American Window Company

American Window Company was well prepared for remote communications and installations even before social distancing was mandated. The family continued to work in their separate office spaces with owner Danny Piantanida working on the window design and installation for a large office building when the tenants were sent to work from home. Offsite virtual design consultations and estimates continued without a glitch using photographs and email. Their clients are happy, and Danny was able to work from home while he and his wife awaited the birth of their new baby boy.

Being a hard-working family man, Danny says, is similar to his own father. “My father was dedicated to his trucking business that hauled shipping containers from the Los Angeles harbor. Taking care of business and offering his customer the best service as a reliable vendor was always important to him.”

Danny grew up going to work with his father every summer and on school breaks. “I’d sweep, wash equipment, and move freight to earn some money and to help out my dad. He’s a generous man who has always been there for friends and family in need of something to eat or a place to call home for a bit which has really made an impact on me and our entire family.”

Over the years, the elder children grew up and out of the Piantanida home, but it grew once more when Danny’s parents fostered and then adopted two infants, a brother and a sister, who are now adults 20 years his junior and both work with Danny at American Window Company. “I am very proud I get to work amongst my little brother and sister. We are 20 years apart, but that doesn’t stop up from having fun and playing pranks on each other at work. And knowing that family is there to take great care of customers every single day is just icing on the cake!”
