Haven in The Heart of Nashville

A short drive to an oasis of self care and relaxation

Though downtown Music City may be known for bachelorette parties and late nights, there is a new hotel on the block offering a haven away from the crowded streets. On the corner of Demonbreun and 8th Avenue sits the luxurious 1 Hotel with minimalist decor, sustainable features from the building materials to the farm to table cuisine, and a spa that is perhaps the best in the Southeast.

With Huntsvillians living less than two hours below country music's capitol, Nashville is a short drive for a weekend escape that will leave you feeling relaxed, well-fed, and rejuvenated without having to go through TSA and all the challenges of the airport.

Where To Stay

1 Hotel

The first thing you will notice when you set foot inside 1 Hotel Nashville is the ambiance. The soft lighting, black and brown decor, and the sustainable materials like tobacco leaves behind the check in counter create a dramatic, yet sensual setting. Already your stress level is lowered.

The guest rooms evoke a vintage vibe with minimalist decor, yet everything from the linens to the bathrooms speak luxury. Choose a panoramic one-bedroom suite for an unparalleled view downtown with windows wrapping around the entire living space. In this room you will also enjoy lots of space: a full dining area, lots of counter space, large seating in the living area, an added powder bath upon entry, added closet space, and a full bathtub. Upgrade even further to the Arbor House or Terrace Suite for added space. The Terrace Suite even offers a large private balcony.

The Spa

The creme de la creme of spas in the Southeast, The Bamford Spa at 1 Hotel is just what you need to relax and refresh. Their facials are the best I have experienced and their massages are top tier. You will find their relaxation room outfitted with loungers separated by drapery. Large windows overlook Nashville. Enjoy hot tea and snacks while you wait for your aesthetician. Your aesthetician is the real star here, the level of expertise and training is what makes the Bamford Spa the best. My 80 minute wellness facial included not just the highest quality skincare, but also Gua Sha and lymphatic massage which is so good for your skin.

Food For The Soul

The Frist: Farm To Table Exhibit

Farm to Table: Art, Food, and Identity in the Age of Impressionism explores the intersections of art, gastronomy, and national identity in late 19th-century France. Beginning with the 1870 Prussian siege of Paris and the resultant food crisis and continuing through the 1890s, Farm to Table showcases the work of artists such as Rosa Bonheur, Gustave Courbet, Paul Gauguin, Claude Monet, and Camille Pissarro, who captured the nation’s unique relationship with food, from production to preparation and consumption.

Featuring approximately 50 paintings and sculptures, the exhibition’s portrayals of farmers in fields and gardens, bustling urban markets, and chefs and diners in the age of grand banquets and a burgeoning café scene underscores connections between urban and rural life while capturing changing notions of gender, labor, and class.
