Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa brings deluxe services and tailored-to-you wellness at its prime location in Juanita Village. Book a hot stone massage, pop in for a signature facial or try the ever-popular LED Skin Phototherapy. Hand & Stone appreciates the value of convenience, so it keeps its doors open seven days a week, offering extended hours and even walk-in availability. It’s customizable luxury at your fingertips.

The Faces Behind Hand & Stone

Chad and Annie Williams, along with business partner Julia Daluiso Dean, opened their first Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa in December 2017. The three longtime Kirkland residents bring different expertise to the table, and each has a passion for providing top-notch health and wellness options—both convenient and affordable—to the Kirkland area.  Originally from Missoula, Montana, Chad comes from a background in education and business, having managed companies from river rafting resorts to learning and development consultation for large organizations. His wife, Annie, brings experience from the education and medical fields and is active in community-based philanthropies. She founded the annual Park to Park Swim across Lake Washington, a fundraiser for Seattle Children’s Hospital in which more than 300 swimmers participated. Their business partner, Julie, has been a Kirkland resident for more than two decades and was inspired to bring her 25-plus years of practice in the health and fitness industry to the Kirkland business community.

“I believe deeply in the benefits of self-care and am very excited to be offering these Hand & Stone services to Kirkland and the surrounding communities,” Julie says.

The trio is set to open a second spa in Redmond Town Center at the beginning of next year.

Massage Menu

When it comes to massage, one size never fits all, so Hand & Stone created a wide range of massage experiences from which to choose. From the long, fluid strokes and varying pressure of Swedish massage, to the more intense pressure of deep tissue work, you’ll address your concerns with a therapist to choose a massage that best meets your needs. Hand & Stone’s Signature massage uses hot basalt river stones to release tension within the muscles, without the need for greater amounts of pressure or other techniques. And the Himalayan salt stone massage utilizes warm salt crystal stones to soothe away stress and tension while exfoliating. Other massages range from prenatal and craniosacral massage to trigger point therapy and myofascial release bodywork.

The Benefits of Massage

It’s hard to beat that feeling of well-being after a massage. Muscles are loose, breathing is relaxed and all is well with the world. But the benefits of regular massage reach far beyond relaxation, spanning from stress relief and reduced arthritic pain to greater range of motion, lowered blood pressure, improved cardiovascular health, increased circulation and so much more. Massage can also combat anxiety and depression by reducing cortisol. It can also aid in the recovery process from an injury.

Well-Paired

The right massage paired with the right therapist can do wonders. Hand & Stone presents a range of highly qualified therapists, and guests are encouraged to try different therapists until they find their best match. Everyone at Hand & Stone follows the same mission.

“We all work together as a team to make sure that every guest gets what they are looking for.”

Beyond Massage

Add a facial to your visit, or begin microdermabrasion treatments. Licensed estheticians can address a variety of concerns, whether you’re looking to restore sun-damaged skin, focus on stimulating collagen, detoxify or simply rejuvenate. Hand & Stone partners with award-winning Dermalogica and ClarityRX to utilize some of the finest skin care products available. Work with an esthetician to create a regimen customized to your skin care needs.

And if you haven’t tried it already, book an appointment for LED Skin Phototherapy. Gaining popularity over the past few years, LED Skin Phototherapy uses infrared lights as a non-chemical, non-evasive alternative to skin rejuvenation. A 50-minute treatment will stimulate collagen; improve elasticity; and reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, dark spots, acne scars and redness.

Hand & Stone also offers hair removal services from head to toe for men and women. Choose from botanical, wax or wax-free services.

Make It Monthly

Hand & Stone offers packages and membership options to keep things simple. The Healthy Lifestyle Program includes either a one-hour Swedish relaxation massage or a Signature Facial each month for $69.95. There’s no 12-month contract, and additional services can be added at low member rates. If you miss a month, your session rolls into the next month or can be shared with friends and family. Membership and membership rewards are flexible and can be transferred to any of the 370-plus Hand & Stone locations nationwide.

The Gift of Massage

Take advantage of Hand & Stone's BOGO offering on Black Friday. Receive a complimentary one-hour massage or facial with the purchase of a spa package or a one-hour service gift card. Keep for yourself, or give the gift of wellness to a loved one.
