For Dr. Beki Kellogg, Au.D., Southlake is more than a place to live and work. It is home in the fullest sense of the word. It is where she is raising her three sons, building a thriving specialty practice, and serving a community she intentionally chose for its strong values, schools, and sense of connection.
As the owner and audiologist of Hope Hearing & Tinnitus Center, Dr. Kellogg has built her career around one guiding mission, helping people who have often been told there is no solution finally discover that there is.
“Southlake was a deliberate choice, and I couldn’t be happier with it,” she says. “Between the Carroll school district, the strong sense of community, and the incredible opportunities available for kids, it really is a special place to raise a family.”
That sense of community is not just something she observes, it is something she experiences daily as a mother. Her sons Brady (9), Baker (8), and Bennett (7) stay active in basketball, baseball, lacrosse, and football, filling their days with sports and friendships. The family also recently welcomed a new four legged member, Carl, an 8-month-old Cavapoo, who has quickly made himself at home.
Like many Southlake families, she says she has been deeply moved by how the community shows up for its children.
“There is such kindness here,” she says. “People genuinely pitch in and show up for one another. A perfect example is my middle son Baker’s lacrosse coach, Coach Kevin Chrapaty, who saw potential in him and has invested in him personally, encouraging him, developing his skills, and truly believing in him. That kind of community investment in our children is something I’m deeply grateful for.”
It is that same spirit of care and attention that defines her work at Hope Hearing.
Dr. Kellogg’s path into audiology was not a straight line. She began college as an education major, driven by a desire to help others, before shifting into speech pathology and eventually discovering audiology. What began as exploration became purpose.
“Audiology found me as much as I found it,” she explains. “What I find so uniquely rewarding is the immediacy of the impact. You can see the difference you make in someone’s life in real time, right there in the room with them.”
That realization deepened during her time in Denver, Colorado, where she trained in tinnitus treatment, a pivotal moment that would shape the rest of her career. There, she met patients who had been told their symptoms were something they simply had to endure.
“I saw how many people were suffering and had been told there was nothing that could be done,” she says. “I knew that wasn’t true. From that point on, I dedicated myself to helping people with tinnitus in a meaningful, evidence-based way.”
After earning her undergraduate degree from Baylor University and her Doctor of Audiology from the University of North Texas, Dr. Kellogg gained experience in both private practice and ENT settings. But her vision for patient care remained consistent, deeply individualized treatment that looks beyond a one size fits all approach.
“Every patient who walks through our doors has a unique story, unique symptoms, and unique needs,” she says. “Cookie cutter solutions don’t work in this field.”
That philosophy became the foundation of Hope Hearing & Tinnitus Center, which she first opened more than seven years ago in the Midwest before bringing the practice to Southlake three years ago.
From the beginning, her mission has been simple but powerful, give patients real hope backed by real results.
“I opened Hope Hearing with a clear mission,” she says. “To provide customized, quality care for people with hearing loss and tinnitus, especially those who had been told there was nothing that could be done for them. What I want is for every patient to leave with two things, real hope and tangible improvement in their tinnitus.”
Today, Hope Hearing & Tinnitus Center has become a destination practice for patients seeking specialized tinnitus care, with many traveling from outside Texas. Its proximity to DFW Airport, just minutes away, has helped expand its reach well beyond the local community, with patients traveling from across the country and even as far away as Brazil for treatment.
At its core, Dr. Kellogg says the practice is defined not just by its clinical expertise, but by its people.
“We are a tinnitus specialty practice,” she says. “That level of focused expertise makes a real difference in patient outcomes. But just as important is our team.”
She speaks with admiration about her colleagues, including Dr. Mary Allen Pollok and Patient Care Coordinator Charmaine Walden, who help shape the patient experience from the moment someone makes their first phone call or walks through the door.
“Dr. Pollok gives every patient her full attention and care, no matter how busy she is,” Dr. Kellogg says. “And Charmaine is often the first voice patients hear and the first smile they see. She makes people feel welcome and cared for immediately. We don’t rush anyone through. We take time, because so many of our patients come to us having already been told there’s no hope.”
One of the most meaningful parts of her work, she says, is witnessing transformation.
“We have had patients brought to tears because they can finally experience quiet again,” she says. “We’ve seen people start sleeping through the night, re engage with their families, and show up for their lives in ways they haven’t been able to for years. Those moments never get old.”
While her professional life is deeply fulfilling, Dr. Kellogg’s commitment to community extends beyond the clinic. Hope Hearing has contributed to local churches, schools, and youth sports programs, including football and lacrosse, which holds special meaning for her family.
“It’s personal for us,” she says, referring again to Coach Chrapaty’s impact on her son. “We’ve seen firsthand how mentorship can shape a child’s confidence and character. Supporting that kind of environment matters to us.”
For Dr. Kellogg, Southlake is not only where she raises her children, it is also where she builds her vision for the future. And that future includes expanding access to specialized tinnitus care for patients who may never have known treatment options existed.
“Our goal is simple, help more people,” she says. “There are so many tinnitus sufferers who don’t know effective treatment exists. We want Hope Hearing to be a place people travel to because they know they will get real answers and real results.”
Above all, she hopes people understand one thing, whether they are across town or across the country.
“If you or someone you love is living with tinnitus or hearing loss, don’t lose hope,” she says. “That’s not just the name of our practice, it’s the promise behind it.”
And in Southlake, where her family’s life is woven into the same community she serves, that promise continues to grow stronger every day.
“What I want is for every patient to leave with real hope and tangible improvement.”
