Hello, Summer... and Hello, Staycation Season

Mountain Shadows is where it’s at for dreamy and delightful R&R

Our beautiful backyard is home to Mountain Shadows, a luxe escape in the heart of Paradise Valley.

Here’s the lineup for the property’s hot summer happenings.

Dubbed the best Par-3 course in America, tee off on the scenic, 18-hole course that offers fun and fast rounds, ideal for beginners and pros alike. Each hole is a par 3, making for a perfect place to perfect your short game.

The original 1961 course was designed by Arthur Jack Snyder, and redesigned by his mentee, Forrest Richardson. The updated layout pays homage to the original with challenging greens, rugged slopes, and distinct holes.

Upgrade your afternoon with a private, shaded cabana aside the resort’s sparkling pools. Each features lounge seating, a TV, and mini fridge. Or, laze the day away with a plush daybed. Sip on custom cocktails and delicious bites while taking in the iconic desert landscape at The Citizens Club.

Enjoy unique wellness experiences all summer long, included with your stay.

Sunset yoga is Fridays at 6:30 p.m. Curated for all-levels, this free-flow yoga class is situated amidst the shadow of Camelback Mountain. The scenic lawn provides a stunning backdrop to wind down from your day while practicing your downward dog.

On Saturdays, rise and shine with a 6 a.m. morning meditation complete with desert views. Sunday mornings, press the reset button with a 10 a.m. sound healing session.

Not staying overnight? You can purchase yoga and sound healing tickets online.

Mountain Shadows also boasts a 4,000-square-foot fitness center equipped with free weights, kettlebells, TRX suspension, a range of high-tech Precor equipment, and dramatic views. Pilates classes are complimentary for resort guests, and personal training is available for an added price.

Pop some bubbly... champagne comes at a special price this summer. Plus, Fridays at 6:30 p.m., enjoy a sunset Champagne sabering and toast on the Hearth '61 patio.

Interested in some liquid learning? Sign up for the themed Spirited Sipping Seminars happening in July and August. This refreshing journey takes students through the wonderful world of wine and spirits. The property’s talented beverage experts guide participants through a tasting seminar and history lesson worth savoring. Each class is paired with a light nosh.

Celebrating something special? Make it memorable with the property’s “Sip, Saber and Savor” package. Reserve this immersive culinary experience for two with private events customized to your taste.

Explore seasonal flavors at this delicious new summer series. Brunch & Learn features a different theme and demo from one of the resort’s talented chefs. Savor a beautiful vino-paired brunch and snag a recipe as a souvenir. Reserve your spot for the July, August and September events.

Mountain Shadows is offering a 20-30-40 deal; the more you stay, the bigger the savings. Get 20% off your first stay, 30% off your second stay, and 40% off your third one. Also, now through September, book a two-night stay and get the third night free.

In 1959, Mountain Shadows Resort opened in Paradise Valley. Perfectly nestled below Camelback Mountain and Mummy Mountain, the resort earned its namesake from the shadows cast by the iconic silhouettes each afternoon. The upscale locale was an instant success, catering to travelers, families and Hollywood A-listers.
