Where to see the best light displays in Cobb County

Lights of Life

Life University, Marietta | November 27 – December 31

More than one million lights decorate a mile of campus in this festive display. Enjoy thematic displays, including a nativity scene, a menorah, and a 60-foot Christmas tree. Activities, like the petting zoo and train rides, are available for a small fee. The lights are open from dark to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from dark to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Admission is $10 per car or truck and $20 per car or van. All proceeds support student scholarships and campus beautification initiatives at Life University.

World of Illumination

Six Flags White Water, Marietta | November 14 – January 4

The world’s largest drive-through holiday light show is back in Marietta! The mile-long route features dazzling displays set to your favorite Christmas music. Tickets start at $39.99, and only one ticket is required per vehicle. You can purchase tickets at worldofillumination.com.

Lights of Joy

1510 Ben King Road NW, Kennesaw | November 30 – December 28

Lights of Joy is Georgia’s largest residential Christmas lights display. The most prominent feature of the display is the landscape featuring 246 lit trees. These trees are synchronized to holiday music for a truly immersive experience. The display is open nightly from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.  A $5 tax-deductible donation is required for each guest. Market Village & Village Green Park Light Display

Village Green Park, Smyrna | Begins November 26

Festive light displays transform the Market Village and Village Green Park for the holiday season. Grab a warm drink, a bite to eat, or do some holiday shopping in Downtown Smyrna before or after you stroll through the park. Don't forget to snap a few photos, too.

Holiday Magic, Woodruff Family Christmas Lights

5268 Seamus Way, Powder Springs | November 27 - January 10

This free residential light show features more than 100,000 lights, inflatables, a Prince tribute, and special effects synchronized to holiday music. Drive up from 6 p.m. to midnight and tune your radio to 102.1 FM for the full experience. 

Hrockin Hranicky Christmas Light Show

3848 Rivers Run Trace NW, Acworth | November 27 - January 1

 Becky and Chip Hranicky, along with their son, create a light show each year at their home. Tune your radio to 107.7 FM from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. The show is free, but you can stop by the red Snoopy house on the property to donate to the Angels Among Us Pet Rescue.

Smoot Family Christmas Light Show 

3699 Autumn View Drive, Acworth | November 29 - January 1

Each year, Jeremy Smoot, with his wife, Rosalind, puts on an impressive light show in memory of his mother, Debbie. Stop by to enjoy a creative display of more than 70,000 LED lights. The show is free, but the family will be collecting donations for The Lupus Foundation of America's Georgia chapter to help fight the disease that took Debbie’s life.
