When air travel is involved recirculated cabin air alongside a lack of moisture within that air can be an issue in the skin. Not only does skin become dehydrated it also has a tendency to absorb certain environmental pollutants such as germs and bacteria from others.

Tip Occlude the skin in an effort to lock in its own naturally produced hydration while lowering the probability of absorption from outside environmental pollutants before take off.

One of my favorite pieces to utilize is the Barrier Renewal Complex from the Elta MD line. Once you’ve applied your regimen to skin occlude with this piece.

When traveling, we know it's best to pack light, especially when it comes to self-care items, however, we also want to look and feel our best for parties and photos.

Tip Utilize the travel size versions of your favorite clinical grade skin care regimen pieces.

One of my favorites is the Epicutis three piece essential travel kit. It is inclusive of Oil Cleaner, Lipid Serum and Hyvia. This trio perfectly executes a double cleanse, antioxidant protection, as well as, anti-aging hydration with blue light blocking technology.

Each of these items can be purchased at The Skin Lab in-house or online at lovetheskinlab.com
