Celebrating Christmas 101

Try these family fun Christmas activities to celebrate the holiday season

What are you doing to celebrate Christmas this year? Some families celebrate by having a Christmas movie marathon, reading the story of Jesus's birth on Christmas Eve, finding ways to give back to the community, writing letters to Santa, and many more! Growing up, my family would drive around town searching for Christmas lights and enjoy ice cream afterwards. My siblings and I also got to decorate our own Christmas trees however we liked each year! These are memories I will always look back on and cherish. Here are three things you can do with your family this year to celebrate.

Baking cookies for Santa

Everyone knows that you have to put milk and cookies out for Santa Claus. This year, make Santa’s cookies from scratch with the kids! This will be a tradition that the kids will remember for years to come.

Visit the Christmas tree farm

Opt for a live tree this year versus an artificial tree. Visiting the Christmas tree farm and picking out the best tree they have is so much fun! Plus, this is the perfect way to bring the smell of Christmas into your home!

Make a stocking for your pet

Don’t forget to include your furry friend this Christmas. Put together a stocking filled with their favorite treats, toys, and supplies. Not only will it be fun for you, but your kids will enjoy picking out items and filling the stocking.
