If you’re a dog parent, you want your furry family member to be cared for, even when you have to be out of the home during the day. Many people are turning to doggie daycares. This March in Ahwatukee, Dogtopia is opening a new branch that is catered both to the dogs that visit and the humans who love them. David Duran, New Store Marketing Manager, tells us more about Dogtopia of Ahwatukee.
WHAT SETS APART DOGTOPIA OF AHWATUKEE FROM OTHER DOGGIE DAYCARES?
Dogtopia is a community of like-minded dog parents with focus on the well-being and happiness of the whole family. Our primary emphasis is being a daycare for dogs. All of the dogs come regularly, a minimum of once per week. They go through an evaluation process to make sure they’re a good fit with our center staff, called coaches, and the other dogs. We do not do drop-in daycare. Our on-staff biologist says that dogs do better when they have a predictable routine, and that includes the dogs and people they see every day at daycare. Our doggie spa and overnight boarding are open to regular daycare clients only. Dogtopia of Ahwatukee has three playrooms catered to different play styles, so your dog can spend time in the one that best fits his or her needs.
WHAT MAKES DOGTOPIA OF AHWATUKEE THE PERFECT PLACE TO TAKE YOUR PET?
Beyond the safety and routine that we have in place, it’s just really fun! Our coaches get to know your dog and also your dog’s BFFF (Best Furry Friend Forever). That way, when our clients schedule their dogs, we can let them know when their dog’s BFFF will be there too. Coaches always supervise and interact with the dogs. We implement basic training techniques and we always want to make sure the dogs have fun. We plan bacon bubble parties, themed days, photo days once a month, and over-the-top doggie birthday parties. We also have live webcams to provide full transparency for our clients.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE AHWATUKEE FOR YOUR NEW LOCATION?
Ahwatukee doesn’t have many doggie daycare options, so we knew there was a need for it. We have locations in central Phoenix, and many clients have asked us to expand throughout the Valley.

Dogtopia of Ahwatukee opens on March 18th for our founders - those clients who are currently evaluating and enrolling for our Ahwatukee location. We are hosting open house tours each weekend in March, and private tours can be scheduled any time.
