Home Brew to Hot Spot

Tenn Lakes Brewing Company makes Lebanon home

Choosing Lebanon was the only thing that made sense to owners Nic Morris and Rob Eisenlohr when they moved their home brewing operation to a brick and mortar this past year.

What started out with a home-brewing kit gifted to Morris by his wife in 2016, then Eisenlohr joining him in their brewing journey in 2019, has turned into a 10 barrel system with 10 different styles on tap in this cool local hot spot called Tenn Lakes Brewing Company.

“We are currently brewing different styles to figure out what Lebanon wants to buy,” says Morris, “Since we are pioneers to craft beer in Wilson County, we are treading an unknown path. We are very excited to bring the community what they want to consume.”

Already voted reader's choice ‘Best of Wilson County,’ the guys say the team at Tenn Lakes Brewing is really honored to be recognized.

“We are happy to receive positive feedback for our efforts in bringing Lebanon great food and beer!” they explained, “We like to have fun and provide entertainment for our customers and we are constantly trying to come up with ideas to make the customer experience memorable at our brewery.”

One fun thing Tenn Lakes likes to do is team up with other passionate brewers to create collaboration beers.

“A collab with another brewery entails deciding on a recipe and executing the brew together,” Morris told us about their current collab, “Wilco Brewery is the idea of a local home brewer here in Lebanon, owned by Stuart Ruis. He assisted us in brewing a West Coast IPA named West Main IPA that we are now serving.”

Currently their most popular brew is called Cloudy With A Chance of Blonde. This American blonde ale recipe has a balance between hops and malt blends that results is a simple light-bodied taste that has a pale malt sweetness and a bread or biscuit flavor. And when asked his favorite way to enjoy beer, Morris says on tap is the way to go. "Personally I love drinking draft beer, I get a sense of freshness that is just missed in a bottle or can," he says.

Tenn Lakes already offers live music, sports screens, games, trivia nights and a sharable bar food menu, but what would beer be without pizza, and with yet another collaboration, that's just what they recently added to give their customers.

“We have a great partnership with Prince Street Pizza and Pub in Gallatin, and now you’ll be able to get their pizza here,” they say, “Our pizza menu and in-house made beer, is the perfect combination. We look forward to serving Lebanon and the rest of Wilson County!”

And serving they are doing. Not only can you order menu items such as Pepperoni Puffs, Totchos, and The Swine Apple pie in house, Tenn Lakes Brewing Company food is available on Doordash, with delivery right to your front door.
