Styling an evergreen wreath can be a fun and creative way to celebrate the seasons and your home. Here are some ideas to help you create a beautiful evergreen wreath:
Prep:
Gather all the below materials before beginning
- 1 wreath
- · 9-15 dried orange slices 9 full sticks of cinnamon
- · 5-9 pine cones of various sizes Optional: ribbon
- · 1 glue gun
- · 2-3 glue sticks
- · 1 5” clear zip tie
Step One: Select A Wreath
Select a wreath (either artificial or fresh)
A wreath that's 24–30 inches in diameter is ideal for a standard 36-inch wide door.
Start with a rich and densely packed evergreen wreath as your foundation. When choosing fresh, make sure the needles are supple and bendable. A wreath that is already dried out won't last through the season.
Step Two: Decorate With Seasonal Accents
Carefully apply hot glue to the back of your chosen decorative elements and press them firmly onto the wreath, layering them in different heights and directions until you achieve your desired look. Some ideas:to consider:
· Natural theme: add pinecones, berries, or dried orange slices for a rustic touch.
· Holiday theme: Add small ornaments in complementary colors for a holiday feel or a large bow.
· Light it up: Weave in a string of battery- operated LED lights for a magical glow
Step Three: Hang And Enjoy!
For a traditional look, hang the wreath in the center of the door, about 14 inches from the top. Use floral wire or clear zip ties to ensure they stay put
