Familiar Surroundings Exceptional Care

Home Instead’s drive, determination, and desire to provide the senior community Independence.

Home is truly where the heart is. For seniors, the ability to spend the next chapter of their lives in familiar surroundings with exceptional care is priceless.

Thanks to the phenomenal staff at Home Instead, Placentia’s in-home senior care service, clients can spend this season of gratitude right from the comfort of their own homes.

Committed, compassionate “CAREgivers” assist with a variety of tasks and duties that make this arrangement feasible.

Owner Ken Tabb and General Manager Doreise Oliver know firsthand the vital role their staff and clients’ families play in the process.

“We are so grateful for our dedicated professional caregivers,” says Doreise. “Our Care Pros are dedicated to providing compassionate care to the seniors they work with, and we couldn’t serve the families in our community without them.”

“We are also thankful for the families who trust us to provide care for themselves or their aging loved ones. They welcome our Care Pros into their homes and treat them like family,” she continues.

A Care Pro’s daily responsibilities vary based on the needs of the individual.

“Our Care Pros provide companionship services, helping with meal prep, light housekeeping, transportation, and medication reminders. We also assist some clients with Alzheimer’s care, nurse-directed and personal care services, and hospice support,” says Doreise.

Home Instead’s extensive training, expertise, and customer care sets them apart from the competition.

“Home Instead is the industry leader. In Placentia, Home has been serving seniors and their families for more than 10 years, and 75% of our Care Pros have undergone specialized Alzheimer’s training,” says Doreise.

According to Ken, the team derives inspiration from personal experience.

“We live our tag line, ‘To us, it’s personal,’” he says. “For example, Doreise’s dedication to caring for her mom, who had Lewy body dementia, inspired us to invest in providing quality-focused care for aging adults with Alzheimer’s, and assistance to families navigating non-medical home care.”

Home Instead’s drive, determination, and desire to provide the senior community with the best possible care to live life to the fullest has shaped its success into what it is today.

“Our goal is to enhance the lives of seniors and their families. I believe our team does that every day by helping people remain independent in their homes with support from our staff and care from our well-trained Care Pros,” says Ken. “We are constantly recruiting caregivers with a servant’s heart.”

A servant’s heart is shared by everyone on the Home Instead team, with a commitment to giving back to the community. As members of the North Orange County Chamber of Commerce, active Yorba Linda Senior Center supporters, and partners with the Alzheimer’s Association, Home Instead always practice what they preach.
