Paradise Living Centers Welcomes Residents to its Fourth Location

Situated in the heart of Paradise Valley at 60th Street and Lincoln Drive, Paradise Living Centers recently opened its fourth location. The local luxury assisted care home provider owns four luxury assisted living and respite care homes—two of which are in Paradise Valley—and selected the scenic location for its latest 5,500-square-foot home for a variety of reasons that benefit both its future residents and their families.

“Location is something we consider very carefully,” says Bob Adamo, owner of Paradise Living Centers. “We build our homes in areas where there is a high demand for luxury care that offers residents and their families easy access to where they live…. We built this home in close proximity to our other Paradise Valley location, which makes it easy for our care managers, activities director and cook to move between locations to take care of the residents at each house and support our caregivers.”

The house, which is built against the backdrop of Camelback Mountain, features 10 private bedrooms and bathroom suites with large closet space.

Future and current residents also can enjoy a variety of spacious common areas for dining and entertainment, as well as a backyard patio, gazebo, bocce ball court, walking paths and an on-site hair salon.

When it comes to the care aspect for its residents, services include 24-hour awake care and monitoring by trained caregivers, all working under the direction of two care managers and a medical director, Bob says. He adds that residents have the opportunity to participate in daily and weekly on-site activities organized by a full-time activities director and enjoy healthy meals daily, which are prepared by the staff cook.

“Our living space and our care allow for a more personalized daily living experience,” Bob explains. “Our caregivers, along with our care managers and activities director, all interact daily with our residents, and with just 10 residents, they are able to really get to know them and their families. This allows us to recognize and address changing needs."

Paradise Living Centers works closely with families on developing individualized care plans and utilizes the latest technology to monitor and administer medications and provide safety and security, he adds.

Bob stresses that, beyond the beautiful setting and amenities, what is most important are the personal touches that the home’s staff is able to offer compared to larger communities.

“For example, in addition to our two care managers and staff, we have a medical director who is available 24/7 and who checks on our residents regularly. They have mobile medical services, should a resident need an x-ray, podiatry or other specific diagnostic care,” he notes.

Bob notes that the space in this new home location is created specifically to be sensitive to the needs of residents and their families.

“We designed the space with our residents in mind. This includes the addition of three spacious two-bedroom suite options, which offers more flexibility for couples or individuals that may want more space,” he shares. “We wanted to take advantage of the beautiful views and so we have a lot of windows and cathedral ceilings that bring the outdoors in…. The home is set back from the street behind a hedge of oleanders, so you can't really see it from the street. There's also plenty of parking on the property for visiting family members and service providers.

“It really is a beautiful homelike atmosphere with many of the amenities and services you find at larger assisted living communities,” he says.
