How to rock that day-to-night holiday look and tips on how to nail the family mini-shoots!

Honey Hair & Beauty, located at 20 School Street in Westfield, was founded by Ashley Dunn and Amber Wood. They started the business in 2018 to bring incredible and affordable beauty to YOU on your wedding day. They quickly outgrew their original business and have now expanded their team and services to include custom color, hair cuts, advanced skincare, eyelash extensions, and more.

  1. Katie’s Daytime Look

Textured curls: Curl all the hair on sides away from the face, and leave one inch of the ends out of curling iron. To tame flyaways, spray hairspray onto fingertips and smooth down flyaways with fingers.

Makeup: Use CC Cream with SPF and neutral tone bronzer. For a smokey daytime look, apply that same bronzer, just below the brow bone. Eyelash extensions are an effortless way to complete the look.

Sleek glam look: When trying to get that sleek side to stay, combine all the hair in front of the ear, with a small half inch section at the nape of your neck, pull into a ponytail and tighten. Drape the hair over to conceal!

Makeup: Transforming the day look was simple! Adding a bit of sparkle is great all year, but especially for the holidays. I love using the Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow in the Shade Diamond Dust, and stamp that onto the eye with a flat concealer brush. Add a dramatic lip and voila!

How to achieve volume on dry hair: Create a triangle section from the arch of your brows to about 3 inches back. Use a large barrel curling iron, insert the iron horizontally at the base of the section turning the barrel once in the direction you want the hair to lay and leave the ends out. Hairspray underneath the section to support lift rather than spraying on top.

Makeup: Use a neutral/cool tone bronzer and gently swipe anywhere the sun would normally hit. Avoid choosing any eyeshadows with too much sparkle. We recommend going with a longwear lipstain that you don't need to touch up. Apply false lashes, but let the glue get tacky before you apply.  Use mascara on your natural lashes after applying the falsies. Select a lash with a thin band and trim them from the outer corners if they are too long.
