The deck was poured into squares to reduce the incidence of cracking as land settles over time and leads excess water to drain. Rounded bullnose steps lead to the spa and raised patio lounge area which appears smooth when approached from the front yet angular when viewed from the side. Rough stone masonry bordering the semi-circular spa form a waterfall which empties into the pool, the pleasant sound of which carries all the way into the back rooms of the home.
