Beat The Heat

Keep Cool This Summer with These 3 Indoor Activities

Summer in the South. We all know what that means - blazing temps, humidity that's unparalleled, kids out of school, a longing for anything that involves AC. Thankfully, Huntsville has some pretty great indoor activities to offer. Head inside to escape the Alabama heat with these three experiences.

1. Top Golf Huntsville / MidCity

Seeking a day filled with friendly competition, relaxation, or just casual fun with friends? There's no better entertainment destination than Top Golf. It's more than just golf; it's a hangout spot with multiple levels of open-air driving ranges fully equipped with cutting-edge equipment, bays built for relaxation, and full food and drink service. The micro-chipped golf balls score themselves, so guests can focus on the fun.

2. High Point Climbing & Fitness / MidCity

For those searching for an adrenaline boost or a physical test of limits, High Point Climbing is a must. With no membership required and no strings attached (almost!) High Point boasts 25,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor climbing. There are classes for all ages and skill levels to enjoy. The facility has 23 auto belays, 30+ rope stations, and over 100 boulder problems.

3. Civil Axe Throwing / Campus 805

A unique, fun, and exhilarating activity all in one stop. Burn off some steam with this novel experience. Competitors throw their axes at the target in an attempt to hit the bulls eye as near as possible. Not only is it located next to a number of great restaurants and activities, but they also allow outside food and beverages.
