Idaho's first annual Cider Fest made a splash in Downtown Boise on October 7, 2023. Meriwether Cider owner, Molly Leadbetter, had been yearning for this day for a long time, and her hard work and meticulous planning paid off in bushels! She exclaimed, "It was so gratifying to see how many people in Idaho were ready for it! Cider is my passion, so being able to share it with so many excited people was absolutely surreal."

The sunny autumn weather and the colorful local artwork in Freak Alley provided the perfect backdrop for nine different cideries from all over the Pacific Northwest to share their delightful and flavorful bubbly creations. Local businesses, including the City Peanut Shop, The Chocolat Bar, and Taste of the Caribbean, offered their delicious pairings for cider. The event also saw Banana Ink premiering a cider-inspired design that became a hit!

This family-friendly space quickly became lively, with friends and families cheering while holding their full-sized glasses of cider. The cider celebration was such a hit that Meriwether is already planning exciting improvements for next year's flavorful expedition, ensuring that this event will continue to be a delightful experience for the community, firmly establishing itself as a cherished tradition for cider enthusiasts in the region.
