You're likely to find her outdoors with her camera as she has always been drawn to nature and landscapes. Given her history in dog sports, she is also a photographer for Boise FlyDogs and loves capturing local events, people and pets to share the essence of beautiful Boise through her eyes.

“Fall is my favorite time of year to photograph,” says Charles. “I like being in the forest and nature during the change in seasons.” Having photographed the mountains of Idaho for years, Knowles has a vast knowledge of times and places where fall color peaks. “The weather can make all the difference,” he says, “and my favorite fall shots are the morning after a rainstorm."

I was born and raised in Idaho, and have always enjoyed photography. When I was a little kid I would get disposable cameras and take pictures of cool things I found. I got away from photography until I was 20. I bought my first camera for a trip I was taking; ever since then I fell in love with it even more, especially being able to capture nature and its beauty. Photography is a way for me to tell a story and to be able to express myself.
