The celebrated French impressionist painter Claude Monet said it best: “I must have flowers, always and always.” The delicate beauty, captivating aromas, and vibrant hues of the flora that grace our gardens and transform our homes are among life’s most joyful pleasures.

For more than 35 years, All Occasions Florist has been creating and supplying some of the most memorable floral designs and displays in Dallas. Located on Oak Lawn, the store is a favorite of Park Cities shoppers. “We pride ourselves on being family-owned and -operated, and building lasting relationships with our customers, whom we all consider family as well,” says Emily Robinson, who purchased the local landmark in 2014.

Buying the business was a full-circle moment for the Dallas native. “The original owner sent my mom flowers on the day I was born. I felt so honored to be allowed the opportunity to take over such a wonderful company.” Nowadays, Robinson says clients routinely tell her: “I’ve been coming here since 1990 or for 10, 20, 30 years or more.”

Most of the All Occasions Florist staff has been with Robinson since she purchased the popular shop. The longevity of the staff speaks volumes about the positive work environment and the strong bonds formed within the team. “One employee has been here for nearly as long as we’ve been open,” she says. “We cherish our customers, and we love being a small business, which has allowed us to build fruitful relationships in various communities, including the Park Cities.

“Customers come in for their wedding flowers and tell us that we did the flowers for their parents’ wedding years ago,” she says. “I feel such joy when a customer says we are the best and that they can always rely on us.”

All Occasions Florist arrangements are always fresh and accented by a dedication to customer service. The shop is a classic small business with a big heart that cares deeply about every display. “We treat each order with the love and care it deserves,” Robinson says. The staff aspires to offer clients “long-lasting florals as well as long-lasting relationships, good customer relations, and honesty.”

Over the years, florists sometimes utilize new materials, products, artistic elements, and design philosophies. “Trends and fads will come and go in the flower world,” says Robinson. For her, it is all about choices and offering something for everyone, rather than being limited to a certain style or type of flower. “If a customer wants something more contemporary with lots of novelty flowers, we’ve got them covered,” she says. “Or maybe they’ve been shopping with us for 30 years and prefer more traditional designs; we pride ourselves on being able to take care of them too.”

As for the top reasons to shop at All Occasions Florist, Robinson points to a dedication to quality, attention to detail, and commitment to the freshest flowers; a passionate devotion to serving clients; personal touches and positive relationships with customers; and their signature 25 long stem roses wrapped in paper for $24, a wholesale staple. “It is always lots of fun and comes in unique colors,” she says.

Satisfaction is guaranteed with arrangements from All Occasions Florist, which proudly stands behind its work. “We encourage our customers to let us know if they’re not pleased or the flowers didn’t hold up as long as they should so that we can make it right.”

Robinson and her staff create weekly florals for homes, as well as large, lush arrangements. They are all thoughtful experts who place a special emphasis on customization, and they love “just being able to be creative with the florals, coming up with new designs, and seeing them sell.”
