"Inspire! Celebrating Disability Inclusion" is an exclusive, semi-formal fundraising event designed to honor and recognize those individuals, companies or organizations who are making strides in disability awareness and inclusion. This year's honoree is Matthew Sanford who has overcome tremendous obstacles after sustaining a spinal cord injury in a car accident as a child. Matthew’s story is told in his book, “Waking: A Memoir of Trauma and Transcendence.”
The event takes place Saturday, June 27, at The Center beginning at 5 p.m. with a fun cocktail party and plated dinner at 6:30 p.m. Following a short program and award presentation, the Celebration continues with dancing to live music by SquadLive until 11:30 p.m.
Be inspired by seeing the new facility expansion ‘The Hardesty Family Adaptive Sports Complex’ and all it offers.
Inspire! Celebrating Disability Inclusion directly benefits The Center for Individuals with Physical Challenges, a provider of fitness, recreation, social and cultural opportunities for those with disabilities in the Tulsa community for 63 years. It is the only state-of-the-art facility specifically designed and adapted for those with disabilities.
The Center serves stroke survivors, individuals with traumatic brain or spinal cord injuries, vision or hearing impairments, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, diabetes, arthritis, obesity and many other diagnoses. More than 1,400 members, their families and caregivers use the facility and services each year. Most recently, programming for disabled children and youth was added.
Consider supporting this great cause that helps so many people in the Tulsa community, and it’s a fun night out! Sponsorships are available and individual early-bird tickets can be purchased before May 1. Ticket sales end June 12. For more information visit TulsaCenter.org.
