To know the talented Sarah Bell is to love her. Our River City Lifestyle photo editor never meets a stranger. But, if you truly know Sarah, you are aware that stylish glasses are her weakness, and, she says, a source of inspiration for her aesthetic as a photographer. She is most tempted by the selection at one locally owned, unassuming shop in Midtown, Eclectic Eye.

Lindy Faulkner, director of operations at Eclectic Eye, says the independent, eyeglass designers they work with create truly unique, high-quality options that can build into an eyewear wardrobe. Lindy says many don’t realize that the eyewear coming from high-end fashion lines is rarely made with the same approach used when creating couture clothing, but, “The collections at Eclectic Eye represent artists, designers and craftsmen who are working to maintain the integrity, sustainability, and quality in the eyewear space.”

The Weinberg family answered Memphis’ need for an optical destination that celebrated unique eyewear designs and focused on high-quality optometry care when they started Eclectic Eye in 2002. Lindy adds that the internal ethos at Eclectic Eye is to provide the best customer service experience and to be actively engaged in the surrounding community by supporting local organizations and artistic endeavors in Memphis.
