For Epiphany Wells-Booker, photography isn’t just about capturing a moment—it’s about celebrating people in all their vibrant, one-of-a-kind glory. Through her brand, Minnie Lee Studios, she’s not just taking pictures; she’s creating experiences that make people feel truly seen.
The name Minnie Lee Studios is deeply personal. “It’s named after my amazing granny, Minnie Lee Young,” Epiphany shares with a warm smile. “She was the one who sparked my creativity. She could take something as simple as a napkin and turn it into a masterpiece—seriously. This studio is my way of honoring her legacy and helping people see themselves as the masterpieces they are.”
Epiphany's photography style? Think bold, soulful, and full of personality—kind of like your favorite playlist. Epiphany has a natural talent for making people feel comfortable in front of the camera, turning every session into a joyful, effortless experience. “We’re talking about your favorite snacks, laughing about your latest movie obsession, and just having a great time,” she says. “By the end, I want you to walk away thinking, ‘Dang, I am fabulous!’”
But Minnie Lee Studios isn’t just about photography. They also offer videography and graphic design services, with an exciting new chapter unfolding as they expand their creative reach with the launch of their first product: a whimsical sketchbook designed to ignite the artist within. Packed with playful prompts and made entirely from recycled materials, this sketchbook is as sustainable as it is inspiring. And as a special touch, two pages are embedded with lavender seeds. “Plant them, water them, and watch something beautiful grow,” she says. “It’s our way of bringing art to life.”
At its core, Epiphany’s mission is simple: to help people see their beauty, honor their stories, and spark a little joy along the way. “The best part of this journey is seeing someone light up when they see themselves through my lens,” she shares. “It’s like finding the perfect filter—but better, because it’s real.”
We’re thrilled to have Epiphany as one of our contributing photographers at Smyrna Vinings Lifestyle. Keep an eye out—her creative magic might just pop up in an upcoming issue.
