Snowmen, Snow Angels, Snow Balls...It's a fairly rare occurrence that we get snow here in the south. But in January, we had the opportunity to experience some fun in a snowfall that turned the Atlanta area into a winter wonderland.
Kids of all ages donned their winter coats and dusted off their snow gear to have some fun playing in the snow. Even our four-legged friends got in on the wintery action. For those who didn't want to get out in the cold, many were able to watch the fun from afar with a cup of hot chocolate in hand. And most of the kids didn't seem to mind having a rare Snow Day!
According to local news sources, a few areas of Atlanta received up to four inches of snow, with the Chamblee area accumulating an average of up to three inches of snow. It was the first significant snowfall the Atlanta area has experienced in a while.
