Of course, you’ll receive warm and elevated hospitable service from every staff member you meet at the Waldorf. We were welcomed by Darrel, a beloved and longtime bellman at the property. (We met him during a cover shoot for our 2017 travel issue when the property was the home of the Mandarin Oriental Atlanta.) The hotel’s intimate lobby has ever-changing art from a local gallery and immediately sets the tone for elegance and beautiful design. When the elevator door opened to the third floor, a stunning modern floral design greeted us and the spa’s staff checked us in with lockers, robes, slippers and a quick tour.
My daughters are 23 and 27 and both were treated to a massage. One chose the Waldorf Astoria Massage, customized using movements inspired by a combination of various techniques from around the world. The other opted for the 50-minute Aromatherapy Massage, a holistic treatment using the power of essential oils with the best of eastern and western massage techniques. I enjoyed melting the years away with an Advanced Restorative facial. The 50-minute facial included an enzyme treatment to restore texture and tone, and a milk and Savannah honey bath. It was heavenly! We three collapsed and smiled knowing there was no place we’d rather be. Together.
