Springtime in the City by the Lake is one of the most beautiful times of year, filled with warming weather, blue skies and blooming flowers. It is also the time that brings the return of the much-anticipated annual rite of the Easter egg hunt.
Filled with colorful eggs and excited, happy children, local Easter egg hunts abound across the region. However, there are none which are larger and more involved that the annual Wonderland event held at Rock Castle state historic site.
Along with hosting the area’s largest egg hunt, Wonderland also features games, crafts, bounce houses, food trucks and a special tea party hosted by characters such as the Mad Hatter, Alice and the Queen of Hearts.
This year marked the 10th anniversary of Wonderland, and it drew a large crowd of children ranging from in age from toddlers to 12-year-olds.
