In a recent Q&A session, Chef Laurence Agnew, the Group Executive Chef at Jesse’s Restaurant and Jesse's On The Bay, shared insights into the restaurant’s philosophy, his culinary background, and the inspiration behind their bayside location.  

Chef Agnew’s journey in the culinary world began in Louisiana, where he cultivated a love for food through his family’s rich culinary traditions. After attending culinary school and working with renowned chefs in New Orleans, his career took him across the globe, from Sedona, AZ to his family’s homeland of Ireland. However, it was the allure of The Gulf Coast that drew him to Jesse’s on the Bay. 

The restaurant's location plays a significant role in shaping Chef Agnew’s culinary approach. With access to the freshest seafood and the influence of Southern and international tastes, he strives to let the natural flavors shine while incorporating worldly inspiration with a Southern backbone.
