Joan Dominiqué Brings Originality to Shoe Design

Born from an innate sense of fashion and focus on passion and dedication emulated by her role model Donna Karan, Joan Dominiqué is unapologetically original; everything from the design of the products to the branding and company structure. The company has broken the norm of what “shoes” represent and look like.

A graduate of Parsons the New School for Design in New York City, (Karan’s alma mater) Joan began a fashion house of her own at the young age of 22. Proud achievements at the moment include the JD AUTUMN20 collection and Limited Editions that are releasing throughout the rest of the year. Amongst these is PROJECT G, a philanthropic fundraiser in partnership with Phoenix nonprofit GRoad. Children were taught shoe design by Joan herself, then their sketches were transformed into a capsule collection. RITE features Collectable Bridal Shoe sets inspired by all couples, both heterosexual and homosexual.

Joan Dominiqué believes it is best to do one thing really, really well and to value quality over quantity in every capacity. Milestones include capsule collection presentations at AW19 Paris Fashion Week, being named “Most Influential Phoenician 2019,” and being worn by celebrities such as Christopher Rich, Lauren Jauregui and Salma Slims.
