In the world of fashion, few designers manage to capture the essence of both past and present as seamlessly as Johnathan Kayne. As a Nashville-based designer and Project Runway star, his aesthetic is both harmonious and dramatic, and modernizes timeless Old Hollywood silhouettes.

Kayne's inspiration is rooted in his family history and personal experiences. "My grandmothers, mother and five sisters were all very strong women who unknowingly taught me so much about what makes a woman feel beautiful; I’m inspired by them,” Kayne shares. These early experiences, combined with his innate creative flair, laid the foundation for a career dedicated to making women feel stunning.

One of Kayne’s most memorable moments as a designer came shortly after he moved to New York City. “I stumbled across Dolly Parton signing copies of her new album,” he shares. “I told her that one day I was going to design her clothes; I said I would give them to her for free, but she quickly replied, ‘Oh no honey, I have plenty of money and will buy them from you!’” This fortuitous encounter foreshadowed a milestone in his career—18 years later, Kayne had the honor of designing his first piece for the iconic Dolly Parton.
