Sweethearts and pals can head to The Sycamore at Mallow Run Winery for a romantic and fun evening of wining, dining and dancing during the group's intimate Valentine Dinner on Friday, Feb. 13. The special event starts at 6 p.m., and is located at 7070 W. Whiteland Road in Bargersville. Guests will enjoy a plated three-course dinner provided by Taxman Brewing Co., with Mallow Run wine pairings, and wonderful entertainment from The Castlewood Singers.
Formed in 1984, Castlewood Singers are a mixed-voice ensemble with a repertoire of secular as well as sacred vocal music. Their music incorporates a wide variety of choral styles, including classical, contemporary, sacred, spirituals and Broadway tunes, all sung in four, six, or eight-part harmonies. They've performed at venues throughout the greater Indianapolis area and Indiana.
For those who cannot attend the Valentine's Day meal, the winery staff will host Winter Warm-Ups Weekends, including complimentary wine tasting in the tasting room from 12-6 p.m. with limited seating on a first-come, first-served basis:

Enjoy satisfying roasted tomato basil bisque soup, freshly-baked breads and a delightful dessert to warm both belly and heart this winter season. Food will be served the full six hours with live music from 2-5 p.m. An acoustic group who performs covers from the 1960s to modern times, Bittersweet, will be playing. Soup and fresh baked bread meal is $10 each. - Saturday, Feb. 7, 12-6 p.m.
Featured soup is chili, and the music will be provided by Robin Embry on the covered, heated patio. He's a seasoned singer/songwriter/musician who performs 1970-1990s rock/country and original songs. - Sunday, Feb. 8, 12-6 p.m.
Featured soup is chili, and the music will be provided by Jay Rifkind, a local saxophonist and performer associated with Butler University and bands like the Park Avenue Band. - Saturday, Feb. 14, 12-6 p.m.
Featured soup is loaded baked potato soup, and the music will be provided by Exit 99, a Greenwood-based acoustic duo. - Sunday, Feb. 15, 12-6 p.m.

Featured soup is creamy chicken and wild rice soup, and the music will be provided by Blue-Eyed Revery, an Indy-based musical duo. - Sunday, Feb. 22, 12-6 p.m.

Featured soup is lasagna soup, and the music will be provided by Checkers and Plaid, an Indianapolis-based, four-piece band that blends rock, R&B, folk and blues.
Additionally, Mallow Run Winery also will host a beginner sourdough class on Feb. 22. Doors open at 12:30 p..m. with the class beginning at 1 p.m.
Class participants will learn the art of sourdough bread baking by mixing their own artisan loaf (ingredients provided), by discovering the secrets of fermentation, proofing and shaping, and by taking home a complete sourdough starter kit. The kit includes a mixing bowl, tea towel, Weck Starter Jar, spatula, proofing basket and 20 ounces of sourdough starter to continue with baking at home.
Every participant will receive a glass of wine or mimosa to enjoy during class (additional wine and snacks available for purchase). The class fee is $100 per person.
