Fast-forward and Matt introduced his own pool company, KC Pool Pros. Matt partnered with Fine Line Designs Designer Meg Steen, and Matt and Meg work with their clients to create a custom design to fit the budget and aesthetic for the perfect backyard escape. “We not only custom design your pool, we create unique lighting and do hardscape design including landscaping, outdoor kitchens, patios, fireplaces, fire pits, outdoor kitchens…the whole gamut,” he explains.

Matt is a dedicated family man with a large family of seven children and four grandchildren with one on the way. He loves creating a magical outdoor space for families and couples with his own family experiences in mind. Two of Matt’s children work with him at KC Pool Pros. His daughter, Lilli, is digital media coordinator and a senior at Park University. His son, Larrsen, works with Matt on day-to-day operations.
