Lifestyle is often derived from taking thoughts and dreams, working hard … turning them into reality. And sometimes, when you least expect it, change happens. The cool thing … most often the change that occurs leads you down unexpected paths that convert to fruitfulness in ways you couldn’t have imagined. Well, that’s MY story and I’m sticking to it!
In August 2015, my husband Jeff and I moved from Fair Oaks Ranch to Rockport … chasing the dream of living near the water. After spending twenty-five years in healthcare management, I took the plunge and followed Jeff to the Gulf Coast to move into the territory he managed from afar for twenty years. Being familiar with Rockport community needs, there was a call to open a restaurant, bakery/bistro style. Our doors opened April 2017, four months before Hurricane Harvey. Following Harvey, we remained open through December 2018. Afterwards, I immersed myself into our community to contribute toward local recovery. Rockport-Fulton Chamber of Commerce offered an in-depth look at community needs through participation in Leadership Aransas County. Our team, Class XXII, made significant legacy economic development, community and environmental program contributions. The following year I served as Leader, Class XXIIl. Those experiences catapulted me to my next venture … assisting those exploring Rockport-Fulton and coastal property ownership … Real Estate!
Since becoming a realtor, I have conducted real estate transactions with awesome folks from England, Kansas, Colorado, Florida, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee, California, Louisiana and Texas cities of Austin, Arlington, San Antonio, Houston, College Station, Kemah, Medina and Boerne - just to name a few!
AMAZING to me is how many folks are working toward owning property on or near the water’s edge. I thrive on how I can best impact dreams of leisure walks on the beach, fishing in the bays, boating, birding, sunset watching, strolling art galleries and enjoying family and friends in a rejuvenating environment. By listening to particulars of timing, finance, and other dynamics, I diligently work to produce options into acquisitions. Understanding a client’s specific goals helps me convert dreams into reality, whether searching for a primary residence, second home or investment. My 2022 goal is to showcase Rockport via a REAL TOUR with a REALTOR® every Friday afternoon for folks desiring a closer look at falling in love with seaside living.
