KC Building Supply has been supplying windows to satisfied customers for over 20 years.

When it comes to a great view of the outdoors, KC Building Supply offers a wide range of window choices for every taste. Contemporary or slimline trends are currently popular in windows and doors, and they consistently supply windows and premium architectural products for remodelers, residential general contractors, commercial contractors and residential DIY customers.

“We have done a lot of work related to keeping up with trends and through our manufacturer offerings, and we have added lines to accommodate some of the newer trends including Milgard, Marvin and Windsor, and now Arcadia, which is in the steel and aluminum product category,” Jay Waldenmeyer, sales associate, says. “This product is from the purist architectural design standpoint and very popular.”

A lot of times in a new-build project, the product is defined by the contractor, homeowner or architect, so their job is to decipher a lot of components of design, as well as budget.

“Many times, budgets are exceeded by taste desires,” he says. “We typically have solutions when we can get the opportunity to sell in that fashion. We give people ideas to satisfy their appearance and design needs all within their budget.”

KC Building Supply also provides products for replacement window needs, including inserts and sashes, as well as brand new windows. This way, a customer can choose from tearing out their entire window, which is a more disruptive process, or choose a less disruptive solution. They also help meet energy compliance for codes.

They have a sales staff of 12, all with expertise in bidding and quoting for both exterior doors and windows. All are well-versed in their jobs and supply customers with the best value proposition for their needs.

“We are a fixture in the city and people know us—we touch a lot of peoples’ new and remodel jobs citywide. Sometimes people come in and think we are wholesale only and not open to the public, but our showroom is open to the public,” he says. “We welcome the DIY crowd. So, if you want to shop locally and not go to a big box store, we have experts in the field who supply professional contractors and walk-in DIY customers as well.”

KC Building Supply is located on the southwest corner of 75th and I-35 in Overland Park, Kansas.
