From May 22 through May 31, Veterans Park welcomed the return one of the community’s favorite family entertainment event – the Hendersonville Spring Carnival. Thousands of midway fans attended the carnival to revel in the sights, sounds, scents and tastes of a classic midway.
The Hendersonville Spring Carnival was the brainchild of local businessman and promoter Barry Lee. Lee had long dreamed of bringing a midway event to the City by the Lake.
“For many years, I wanted to bring another fun, family-friendly event to our city to give everyone another entertainment option,” said Lee. “We chose Veterans Park as the site to host the carnival due to its high visibility and its proximity to the Mary’s Magical Place playground.”
Along with traditional midway games and concessions, the carnival had numerous rides for visitors to enjoy. Fan favorites included the “Sea Ray,” the “Y Factor” and a traditional Ferris Wheel.
