Kids Baking Championship, Yorba Linda Proud

Talented local chefs cooking up success.

Whipping up delectable dishes is second nature to local brilliant bakers Summer Haque and Ellora Martinez. These talented chefs are cooking up success as contestants on the Food Network’s Kids Baking Championship.

Summer Haque

Summer Haque loves baking delicious desserts—cake pops, pies, cookies, and cakes—as much as she enjoys teaching her peers to do the same.

Summer, a 5th-grade GATE student at Golden Elementary, began hosting weekly Zoom baking tutorials to share her talents with others—and Summer’s Sweet Show was a success!

Science-minded Summer sees baking as one big experiment, testing out different ingredients and temperatures for a savory result.

She’s gone from assisting her mom in the kitchen to taking on a starring role.

Now, Summer’s skills are taking center stage on season 10 of Kids Baking Championship, as one of twelve contestants chosen from thousands to battle for the title of baker extraordinaire. Instagram @summers_sweet_show

Ellora Martinez

From the very first Kids Baking Championship episode she watched, Ellora Martinez was hooked.

Hailing from a family of self-professed non-bakers, Ellora was enamored with the sweet confections concocted by her peers alongside hosts Duff Goldman and Valerie Bertinelli.

A baking competition with her dad cemented a newfound love for baking dozens of sugary creations. Since her very first Oreo cake in 2020, Ellora embarked on a self-taught mission to hone her craft.

Nine-year-old Ellora’s perseverance took her dreams from a vision board to a spot as one of twelve contenders on season 10 of the Kids Baking Championship, mixing and measuring with the best young bakers around.  Instagram @ellora_bakes
