A look back at the furnishings that have filled our homes over the past 75 years reveals aesthetic trends as well as generational lifestyles. Whereas blah neutrals made with off-putting coarse materials used to dominate the outdoor carpet category, now it is hard to distinguish indoor from outdoor carpet patterns and textures.
