We all know how challenging things have been since March and the outbreak of Covid-19. It has affected all of us in different ways and we all have used whatever resources we have to get through it. For the Kiwanis Club of Kirkland, staying on track with their mission of “Serving the Children of the World” has given club members a focus and a purpose. Even though physical fundraising activities have come to a halt, the club has managed to come up with ideas that keep money coming in so it can continue its work in the community - helping local children in need and their families most affected by current conditions.
On a happy note, the Kirkland Kiwanis Christmas Tree Lot will be open for business this year and following all covid protocol. As a community, a country, and a world, we have all given up so much that makes us feel “normal”. What better way to get back into good spirits than to have a beautiful, fragrant, live Christmas tree, decorated with your favorite memories and beautiful lights? Kirkland Kiwanis is excited to be part of your holiday season by helping bring joy and beauty into your home. The club will also be selling fresh wreaths and garland, the ever-popular Gourmet Nuts, Delicious Delights and of course, See’s Candies. All of these options make great gifts and fun stocking stuffers.
Our Christmas tree sale is the biggest fundraiser of the year for Kirkland Kiwanis, with 100% of funds raised going to organizations that help local children in need. Some of these organizations include:
Attain Housing
The New Bethlehem Project
Nourishing Networks
Student Scholarships
Key Clubs and Builders Club
Eastside Baby Corner ………….and many more
For a complete list of those organizations and to make a donation, please visit www.KirklandKiwanisFoundation.org.
Kirkland Kiwanis would like to thank loyal customers for their continued support through the years. This support has enabled Kirkland Kiwanis to be part of our community by continuing to reach out and lend a helping hand where it is needed most, and for that they are deeply grateful.
