The Leadership Program of the Allen Fairview Chamber of Commerce is an exceptional opportunity to enhance your leadership skills, gain insights into the history and governance of Allen, Fairview, and Collin County, and explore avenues for increased community involvement. Throughout the program, participants acquire knowledge about local issues and resources, expand their professional network, and develop essential project and team leadership skills. This involves an introduction to various aspects of fostering and sustaining a vibrant community while establishing connections with a diverse array of community leaders.
The nine-month program is structured to identify, motivate, and cultivate business and community leaders who can make more impactful contributions to their respective companies and instill a sense of community and the significance of volunteerism. Each month, participants delve into a different facet of Allen, Fairview, and Collin County, encompassing areas such as city government and services, education, health and human services, economic development, and justice and law enforcement.
Moreover, participants have the opportunity to enhance their leadership skills through targeted development programming each month, along with two full days dedicated to leadership training and team building. By dedicating just one Thursday each month, individuals can propel their professional careers, discover the value of community volunteerism, and forge enduring friendships.
Additional information about the Leadership Allen Fairview Class 36 program will be available this Spring, with applications being accepted in June 2024.
“The Program empowered me to recognize the role I can play in improving my community as well as instilled me with the knowledge to understand how I can achieve those goals. I am grateful for my time in the Allen-Fairview Leadership Program, and I look forward to opportunities to serve my community in the future.” – Jeremy R. Wallace, Class 33
“Prior to beginning my Allen/Fairview Chamber Leadership Program, I had graduated from a 10-month Texas Real Estate Commission Leadership Program. I wasn’t sure what additional I could learn from taking my second leadership class but was pleasantly surprised. For those who may have already graduated from another leadership program or those considering it for their first time, “just do it”. Thank you, thank you Allen/Fairview Chamber for the opportunity to learn more about our community than I ever could have imagined and for helping me make some life-long friends along the way.” Joe Bogg, Class 30
