What is your favorite memory of living in Lebanon during the Christmas holiday season?
The annual tree lighting ceremony. My kids sang in their school choir, making it a magical experience for us all. It's a special event that I help plan, and it marks the start of the holiday season in Lebanon.
How does shopping locally contribute to the town?
Shopping local is crucial, especially during the holiday season. When you buy from local businesses, most tax dollars remain within Lebanon, supporting our budget for public safety, infrastructure, and parks. This creates a sustainable cycle that strengthens our community. How does shopping local affect jobs in Lebanon?
Local businesses are the backbone of our job market providing the majority of jobs here. Local businesses employ residents, fostering economic stability, often also hiring local high school students and college students from Cumberland University, which helps to circulate income and spending within our community.
What role do local businesses play in community support?
Many employers and employees are active members of our schools and local organizations. Local businesses sponsor youth sports, fundraisers, and non-profits; their contributions are vital for community events and development.
